Perched on granite 4/5 of a mile out into Rockland’s harbor you will find Rockland’s Breakwater Lighthouse. Completed in 1900 this iconic symbol of Rockland has provided safety for over a century. Over 700,000 granite blocks stretch from Jameson Point into the middle of Rockland Harbor taking 18 years to build without the aid of industrialized equipment.
